DIP UNIT-FLOW DIAGRAM

Major units and function

Dual let off

For continuous operation of the system by
providing active and stand by coverage of two
fabric rolls

Let off Accumulator

This ensures continuous fabric supply to the unit
during fabric roll change over.

Dipping tank

The initial step in fabric processing is the
submersion of the fabric in dip solution. .The dip
solution, in a stainless steel tank , is raised into
position to submerge the greige fabric

Wet hold back stand

This includes a cluster of 4 rolls driven by DC
Motor

Squeeze roll

After dipped in RFL soln., the fabric passes
through the squeeze rolls which squeezes out the
excess dip solution and enhances the penetration
of dip solution into the filaments of the textile cord.

Vaccum extractors

Two independent vaccum extractor systems are
furnished after the dip station to control the
amount of dip remaining in the fabric

Dryer

A two zone festoon type drier removes the
moisture from the fabric coming out of the
vacuum extractor. Drier ensures moisture free
fabric by exposing the fabric for 180 seconds at
120°C at a line speed of 30 ypm in hot air
Medium

No.1 Pull rolls

This is for providing controlled drying stretch
(2%).This tension stand controls the line speed.

Heat set oven

The heat set oven is constructed of all welded, air
tight insulated sheet metal panels. The exposure
time in this zone is 40 seconds and the operating
temperature ranges from 195°C to 215 °C

No.2 pull rolls

This is to provide for the stretching and tensioning
of the heated fabric exposed in the heat set oven.

Normalizing oven

This is for giving relaxation of hot stretched fabric
for stabilization. The exposure time in this oven is
40 seconds and the operating temperature ranges
from 195 to 213°C

No.3 pull rolls

This is to provide for relaxation (-2.5%) of the hot
stretched fabric in normalizing oven

Flexibilizer

The flexibilizer consists of a set of 5 blades (3
stationary and the rest moving). This set of
blades by virtues of its position reduces the
stiffness of the dipped fabric .

Wind up Accumulator

This is for storing fabric during roll change over at
wind up.

Wind up pull out roll

This unit holds back the fabric to provide proper
winding tension, plus pulling fabric out of the wind
up accumulator

Wind up

This receives the material from the wind up pull
out rolls and winds it onto a shell.
